Q THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED ON THE OFFICIAL FESTIVAL SITES:

  • Beverages / food / alcohol / cans
  • Cooler
  • Thermos, rigid water bottle, or containers made of plastic, glass, or metal
  • Water guns
  • Musical instruments or any noise-emitting objects (bells/horns)
  • Umbrella
  • Large backpacks
  • Banners / flags / signs that may obstruct the view of other spectators
  • Professional cameras with lenses longer than 2.5 inches or any interchangeable lenses, video cameras, or audio recording devices
  • Camera stands, selfie sticks, tripods, or similar items
  • Items intended for sale/promotion without written and signed permission from the Festival
  • Skateboards and rollerblades
  • Drones or similar devices
  • Any animals
  • Explosives and pyrotechnic devices
  • Laser pointers
  • Motorized scooters (except for ticket holders in the mobility-reduced section of the Grandes Estrades Coors Original)
  • Weapons of any kind, including firearms, bladed weapons, aerosols, pepper spray, knives, blades, or any other sharp objects, prohibited items, blunt objects deemed dangerous or risky. Anyone in possession of such items will be denied entry unless they voluntarily dispose of the object in the designated bins.
  • Any other item deemed risky by security personnel.

NOTE: All items voluntarily placed in designated bins will be destroyed.

Q When will the next edition of the Festival take place?
A

From September 5 to 14, 2025.

Q What are the opening hours on the site?
A

The Festival takes place throughout the city on an open site, so there are no general opening hours. Some food stands open early in the morning for breakfast. We invite you to check our schedule to find the specific hours for our various locations, such as the tents and terraces.

8 PM RODEOS:
At the Grandes Estrades Coors Original, to enhance the quality of the evening rodeo opening show and ensure optimal safety for all spectators, the stairs will be completely closed at 7:55 PM. Access to seats will not be possible during the projection and the rodeo opening. The doors will reopen around 8:05 PM. We encourage you to arrive as early as 6:30 PM to fully enjoy the rodeo experience!

Q Is there an admission fee?
A

Access to the city streets is free, but to participate in certain activities or enter specific Festival sites, you’ll need a sheriff’s star passport, available for $15 at various points of sale on-site. Please note that activities such as rodeos, shows, and dance workshops require ticket purchases. We encourage you to check our schedule for all details on pricing and timings!

Q What items are allowed/prohibited on the Festival’s closed sites?
A

On the Festival sites, permitted items include drink boxes (small juice boxes) for children, diaper bags, and small snacks such as fruits or granola bars. However, several items are prohibited, including glass bottles, cans, backpacks, umbrellas, camping chairs, cameras, food, weapons, coolers, and dogs.

It is also strictly forbidden to smoke or vape on the sites. Thank you for respecting these rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone!

Q What should I do if I’ve lost a personal item?
A

During the event, all found items are gathered at the command post in the Salle des Aînés, where they can be claimed.

Q Do the events take place even if it rains?
A

The events are held rain or shine.

Q Is there Wi-Fi on site?
A

Since 2017, Wi-Fi access has been available on all terraces at the entrances of the Ranch, the Countrythèque, the Saloon, and Coors Town tents.

Q Are animals admitted on site?
A

Animals are allowed on leash throughout the city, with the exception of closed Festival venues.

Q Is smoking allowed on site?
A

Smoking is allowed on site and in the city, but strictly prohibited in all closed Festival venues.

Q Lost person
A

Anyone who is lost or has lost someone can approach a security officer identified on the Festival site or a police officer.

Q Where can I get information about accommodations?
A

A list of accommodations is available at the information kiosks on-site as well as on our website. It is also possible to stay with local residents; however, the Festival assumes no responsibility for any agreements made with individuals.

Parking and shuttle

Q Where can I find parking?
A

Several parking options are available: along the roads at the city entrance, on streets where parking is permitted, or in paid parking lots located throughout the city, with fees ranging from $5 to $20 per day.

Q Is there accessible parking for individuals with reduced mobility?
A

There is an accessible parking lot for individuals with reduced mobility on Brunelle Street, next to the arena. It is free at all times. Spaces are limited, and a permit is required.

Q Are there shuttles during the Festival?
A

To make accessing the Festival site easier during peak times, a convenient shuttle service has been set up. Parking is located at the entrance of the city, at 215 Route 153, behind Meubles Jacob, with over 800 secured spaces available.

The cost is $15 per vehicle, which includes shuttle service for all passengers in the vehicle. The shuttles drop off festivalgoers just a few minutes’ walk from the main area, near the Boutique Équestre.

Q Are children allowed in the tents?
A

Individuals aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and children aged 12 and under are allowed in the tents and terraces until 8 PM. However, we strongly recommend avoiding bringing young children due to the noise and large crowds on-site.

Q Do children get free admission to shows and rodeos?
A

Children under the age of 2 can attend rodeos and shows for free, provided they sit on their parent’s lap and do not obstruct the view of other spectators. We strongly recommend that young children wear hearing protection, as the noise can be very loud and continuous.

Q Where can I get the sheriff’s star?
A

You can purchase the sheriff’s star at the ticket office, at kiosks identified with the sheriff’s star, and at the Festival’s official boutique located at 454 St-Joseph Blvd. The star is required to access various tents and terraces (Ranch, Saloon, Countrythèque, and Coors Town), except during paid activities (see the schedule in the program).

Q How do the raffle tickets in the street work?
A

You can purchase a 50/50 raffle ticket at one of the six official sales points of the Festival. Every evening, the winning ticket will be drawn at 7 PM. If you have the winning number, go to one of the sales points to claim your prize.
